Across rural Malawi most primary classrooms still have pupils sitting on the floor for the whole school day. Concentration, posture and writing all suffer. We deliver 200 locally-built wooden desks, manufactured by carpenters in the district, sized so that two pupils can share each desk comfortably. The school takes over maintenance from year one.
