Informatics course for blind and visually impaired children

In Sierra Leone visual impairment still carries strong social stigma, and disabled children are often excluded from school and from any pathway to employment. Building on our work with schools for the blind in Uganda and Sierra Leone, the project equips pupils at the Bombali School for the Blind with screen-reader laptops, basic computer skills, email and web use, and access to a library of audiobooks. Digital literacy opens doors to higher education and remote work that would otherwise stay closed.

A €50 donation funds a year of water for a family — and, thanks to the model, contributes to the next well too.
