Many women in Chikhambi face compounding barriers: disability, life with HIV/AIDS, widowhood. Building on a previous goat-farming initiative in the district, the project provides the Tidziwane Women Group with the animals, the shelter and the practical training to run a sustainable farming enterprise — and turns the group into a peer-support network at the same time.
