Fobenga village clean-water project

During the dry season Fobenga-Tierrou competes for the same shrinking water sources as the surrounding villages. Women walk for hours, children miss school, and waterborne illness rises sharply. With our local partner AET-Togo (Amis des Enfants de la Terre-Togo) we drill a borehole at the village centre, install a hand-pump and set up a community management committee. The first measurable outcomes are typically a 40-60% drop in waterborne illness and a noticeable jump in girls' school attendance.

A €50 donation funds a year of water for a family — and, thanks to the model, contributes to the next well too.
