- EPHPHATHA school — Shalom complex

Until now the youngest pupils of EPHPHATHA have followed their lessons outdoors, exposed to extreme weather and to the risks of insect and snake bites. They also share sanitation facilities with more than 800 children from the adjacent Shalom complex, which leads to overcrowding, discrimination and health hazards. The project funds the construction and furnishing of a dedicated classroom for the preparatory group and a sanitary block with six gender-separated cubicles. The goal is a healthier learning environment and a higher enrolment of deaf children across the savannah region.
